Curriculum
A 3-Year Journey from Foundation to Independent Practice
Our curriculum is built around 4-week block rotations and a longitudinal continuity clinic you keep across all three years — progressing from foundational skills to confident, independent practice.

Year 1: Foundations
Build core clinical skills through family medicine, inpatient care, pediatrics, emergency medicine, behavioral health, and continuity clinic.

Year 2: Growth
Take on greater responsibility across specialty rotations, community health, women’s health, and patient-centered continuity care.

Do you sponsor visas?
No. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Do you accept international medical graduates (IMGs)?
Yes. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements and be authorized to work in the United States.
Is there a minimum USMLE/COMLEX score requirement?
No strict cutoff. Applications are reviewed holistically.
How many residents are in each class?
4 residents per year.
What is the structure of the curriculum?
4-week block rotations over three years with a balanced mix of inpatient and outpatient training.
Do residents have a continuity clinic?
Yes. A longitudinal continuity clinic is maintained throughout all three years.

Syracuse Community Health, Rome Health, Samaritan Medical Center, SUNY Upstate Medical University, Reflections Dermatology, and Crouse Hospital.
What are call responsibilities like?
Structured to support education and resident well-being while maintaining duty hour compliance.
Are duty hours compliant with ACGME standards?
Yes. All work hours are monitored for compliance.
Do residents have elective time?
Yes. Dedicated elective time is available across all three years.
What is the resident salary?
PGY-1: $64,869 | PGY-2: $69,452 | PGY-3: $72,495
