Tamica received a Master of Business Administration degree from Le Moyne College. She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Utica College. Tamica then pursued a Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner and Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from South University. She completed her Nurse Practitioner residency at Buffalo Veterans Affairs prior to joining SCH.
